This is a little late, but Mikelle turned 11 months old on November 23rd. She is getting so big. She loves to talk. She says lots of words like: dog, daddy, boo, mum-mum (a snack that she eats), bath, baby, bye-bye, book and baba. She loves walking around the furniture, but won't walk very long if you are holding her hands. She knows she's a lot faster crawling. She throws a fit if she doesn't get her way or if someone takes a toy away from her. She is the cutest little thing and we love her!

What a weird night...
Two nights ago, actually two mornings ago we heard a knock at our door around 3:00 am. Jory must not have been in a very deep sleep because he got up so fast. It was almost like he was a robot. He said he heard knocking and someone yelling for help. He answered the door and a lady wearing pajamas and no shoes came in asking him to call the cops. She was running away from her husband who had been beating her. By this time I got out of bed to see what was going on. She called the cops and told them to come help her because her husband had been beating her. She told me she got home from a trip at 11:00 and her husband who had been drinking started accusing her of cheating on him and started hitting her in her face and chest, pulled her hair, broke her glasses, so she couldn't even see very well. She finally snuck out of the house, but she couldn't take her shoes or her purse or he might notice. She tried running to her sister or cousin's house, but her gate was locked, then she tried the neighbor's house but their gate was locked. She saw our porch light on, so she came over hopping we were home. We waited and waited for the cops. She called them 3 other times, of course the lady on the other end was an idiot. I felt so bad for this lady, but I didn't know what to do for her. I gave her some water and ibuprofen, she said her husband wouldn't even let her get a drink. Finally the cops came after about 15-20 minutes (the police department is only like 3 minutes away). The lady was so mad, she just knew her husband had taken her purse and keys and was gone. The cop said he went to her house and no one answered. She finally left with the cop and who knows what happened. She said she was going to press charges (this was the 3rd time he had done this to her.) I'm sure we will never see her again. I felt so bad for her. I don't know why women put up with that. I never would. This whole experience made me so grateful for a good husband and made me want to move from here even more!
Jory says maybe would should start locking our gate...

10 Months!
Mikelle is 10 months old! She is growing up so fast. She gets into everything she can get her hands on. She loves to stand up and walk around furniture. She finally got 2 teeth...it only took 10 months! She loves books. She will get into the bookshelf and pull out books and just flip through the pages. She has gotten a little attitude lately. She will scream if I take her out of the bath too early. She won't eat baby food, but loves to eat what we're eating. If I forget about her, she will grunt at me to remind me to share my food. She'll eat any kind of grown up food, but if it's baby food she will spit it out. She has been a lot of fun lately. The older she gets the more and more fun she gets!
Every month I try to take pictures of her, but this time she would not let me take pictures of her. I tried for 2 days and these are the best that I got.

Thatcher Trip with The Krissman's
Last week we took our Kayenta friends to Thatcher with us. We mostly ate while we were there, but we did do some fun things.
We had a bonfire and had dutch oven chicken, potatoes and peach cobbler. It was so good. I'm craving it just thinking about it!
Rocki and Miki
Bri, Me, Annie and Little Ryann
Family picture by the fire. Mik just wanted to see the fire the whole time.
I love this one. You can see the fire in her eyes.
Jory with Ryann and Miki. They were too busy looking at the fire.
I'm still trying to work with Mik to help her like my dad!
Jory making peach cobbler.
She was always so tired at nap time. Too much attention wears her out!
We celebrated my brother, Derek's birthday even though he wasn't there. It sure was good ice cream cake!
Miki loved having a friend around all day.
She's just too cute!

Miki Can Crawl!

9 Months
Our little girl is 9 months old! She is getting so big and smart. She can now pull herself up onto furniture, but usually just to get something she sees. She LOVES her toys. She can sit forever and play by herself. She likes to eat shoes, napkins and pretty much anything else she's not supposed to eat. She can crawl, kind of. She doesn't do it very long or very much. She usually does 4 crawls and then gets down and army crawls because she's faster that way. She loves talking and babbling. She picks a word and says it all day long. It's usually mama. She doesn't like to be told to do something. She won't clap if you tell her to clap, or wave if you tell her to wave. She likes doing things when she feels like it.
Here are her stats:
Weight: 18 lb 7oz - 44%
Height: 28 in- 67%
Head: 42.5 cm- 13%
She's such a happy girl
Loves that tongue!
She loves to clap!
This is her army crawl

Happy Birthday Madison & McKenzie!
On August 25 and 26 it was 2 years since Madison and McKenzie were born. I decided every year for their birthdays I want to do some kind of service project. This year we made activity books for the hospital. I spent a lot of time in the hospital and was really bored, so I thought that these books might help pass the time for other people. The project went so fast, we forgot to take pictures, but afterwards we went and ate at R&R. My whole family and Jory's sister, Mindy and her kids were there.
It has been a crazy 2 years and I've learned a lot! I still think about them all the time and sometimes wish that I had my twin girls with me. Other times I wonder how I could have handled 2 babies at one time. I'm so glad I have Mikelle. She doesn't replace them, but she does make it easier! I know I will get to see and raise my girls someday. I'm so grateful my family can be together forever. I wouldn't want it any other way!

Thatcher Visit
Me and Mikelle got to spend 2 weeks in Thatcher, but before we went we met my family in Phoenix and all the boys went to a Cardinals game.
All the girls got to visit with my Grandpa Jim and Uncle Kenneth who was in town for work.
Rocki had a lot of fun with Mik. She looks like a little biker girl.

8 months
My little Mik is 8 months old! She is getting so big! She can almost crawl. She gets up into a pushup postion and then gets on her knees, then rocks back and forth and falls. She wants to move so bad. She can clap her hands and wave. She gives "kisses," but only when she wants too. She says mama, but usually cries it. She says dada, hi and hello. She is such a cute little girl. We are so happy to have her.
