I'm finally updating!

This weekend was my friend Moriah's wedding. Jory couldn't go because he had a campout with the scouts and since he's the Scout Master, he had to go. So I picked up my friend, Terra in Flagstaff and we drove to Mesa. I had a lot of fun even though it was as short weekend. Moriah's sealing was the first I had been to since me and Jory got married. So it was fun to hear all the blessings again, because I sure didn't remember them!

Jory had a lot of fun on his campout. They went ice fishing and he actually caught a fish. His second one in his whole life. He was pretty excited! He said the trick is listening to country music while you're fishing.

It was good to come back home and see my husband again! I miss him when we're apart!

Oregon!

Last week Jory and I went to the Oregon Coast with my parents, for my mom's birthday. We had a lot of fun and took tons of pictures, so here are a few of them:

On the plane to Oregon. We had to wait an hour extra just sitting on the plane becuase of the fuel light indicator being on (i think). We were so glad when we finally landed!

Right out side of our room. The ocean was so loud and stormy. Jory loved watching it and listening to the waves crash.

This place is called the Spouting Horn. Water comes into blowhole type thing and shoots it out. I have a video, but of course it won't let me upload it.

It was so green in Oregon, even the tree trunks were green from moss! We thought that was a little crazy.

I thought this bench was cool, but we couldn't look at the camera because the sun was right in our eyes.

This was supposed to be a really good lookout point were you could see for miles, but we couldn't see anything because of the fog. That stuff never goes away!

The Devils Punch Bowl. It was really foggy here too, so the picture didn't turn out too good. The water was supposed to swirl around and look really cool, but I don't think the tide was high enough when we were there.

We went to an aquarium in Newport. Anyone we talked to about it said it was was of the Top 10 in the U.S. Apparently they like to brag about that. But it was a pretty cool place.

I loved the seahorses. They all look fake in this picture, but trust me, they are real!

Jory touching a stingray. There was no way I was going to do that!

One giant shark mouth!

A really old scuba helmet.

The kids playground. We had fun playing on all the animals.

The view from the second place we stayed.

We went on a little walk to the beach. Everything was ALWAYS wet there, even though it never rained while we were there.

The beach! We found lots of dead starfish and crabs. It was kind of gross.

We went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory and ate some very good cheese and even better ice cream!

This picture just makes me laugh. The sun in always in our eyes!

This is how bad the fog would get sometimes. And we had to drive in it. Plus my dad is almost blind, so me and my mom were scared most of the time.

Some weird things I learned about Oregon: First, no one knows how long it takes to get to one town to the next. They always add a few hours to the actual time it takes. We never did understand that. Second, there is no tax on anything. How do their towns make money? Third, it's illegal to touch a gas pump. We of course didn't know this. This is a picture of a guy pumping our gas. I tried to take it so he wouldn't see what I was doing, so it's not very good, but you get the point.

Me and my mom resting during a long walk up a steep hill.

The Cape Meares Lighthouse. It's only 38 feet tall.

We went to an Air Museum in Tillamook. This is inside a Guppy. I think it carried blimps that were used in World War 2. It was so cold there that my mom and I didn't enjoy it at all.

Inside the huge Hanger that stored the blimps during the war. They had tons of planes you could look at that they still use.

My favorite lighthouse we got to see, the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. We got to climb all the way to the top.

Some seals. They wouldn't do any tricks for us, but one would always pose for the camera.

The last lighthouse we went too. The Yaguina Bay Lighthouse. This was attached to a house, so we got to tour the house, but couldn't go all they way up to were the light was.

We had a lot of fun in Oregon. It's amazing how different it is there even though we are only a few states away. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us go with you!

Copycat

My sister Dani is engaged! I'm so excited for her. She's marrying Bryce Carter. I'm excited to have a married sister now. They got engaged EXACTLY a year from the time me and Jory got engaged. Isn't that weird? And...they copied us even more! They went to a Sun's game the first of January...so did me and Jory. And my mom and dad went on vacation for my mom's birthday the week after we got engaged and my parents are doing it again after Dani got engaged. And that's not it...we were/will both be 20when we got married. What weird coincidences!

Here is a picture after they got engaged.

This is my favorite. Rocki cried forever after they got engaged. She did that with me and Jory too. She's so funny.

I just wish I could have been there! I hate missing out on things like this!

Easton & Dagen

Easton & Dagen (Jeremy & Celeste's boys) came and stayed with us a few days. We had lots of fun. We ate tons of pizza and ice cream, went and saw "Bedtime Stories," rode the 4-wheeler, played video games, and watched "Transformers" over and over again. Here are some pictures:

Getting ready to leave. They came back after 10 minutes because it was too muddy. They had mud all over them.

I thought this was so cute.

Dagen driving.

He tried talking to the little girl behind him several times and wanted to play with her. She wasn't very nice and just ignored him.

Christmas

Well we finally made it home from our Christmas vacation. We left last Saturday and were able to make it to my friend, Stefani Smith's wedding reception. It was fun to see friends I haven't seen in a while. We spent Sunday and Monday with Jory's family and had an early Christmas with them. I was sick all weekend and had lost my voice for 4 days! So it was really hard to talk to people. On Tuesday we went to the Mesa temple with my mom's side of the family. We did baptisms for the dead for 250 family names. I got sick again that day, so I didn't get to do baptisms. I mostly slept during the 4 hours my family was in the temple. I was really sad I didn't get to enjoy it with them. It was also my brother Chad's first time to do baptisms. So I was really sad I missed out.
On Christmas Eve my family and 2 other families get together. We eat at my parents house and afterwards go on a hay ride. We try to sing Christmas songs, but of course it sounds horrible because we can't sing! Then we go to other family's house and have a white elephant gift exchange. Then to end the night we go to the last family's house and do a live nativity. This has been a tradition in my family for years and I think I like it more than Christmas! We had my grandparents and my uncle's family from Utah down, so we had a very big group!
Christmas Day was a lot of fun. We opened presents, ate and played all day. I got a new camera and photo editing program, so once I have time I'll put some pictures up. We were supposed to leave on Friday, but we were afraid the weather was bad, so we didn't leave until Sunday. We were hoping to have a nice, warm Arizona Christmas, but it ended up snowing in Thatcher.

The headstone for Madison and McKenzie's grave came. We thought it turned out really nice. My Aunt Lori made us the sign, "Caution, Angels at play." She was so excited to give it to us, she had us open it on Christmas Eve.

I love Christmas time. I just wish it wasn't over so soon!

Fun in the Snow!

It has been snowing like crazy here! I'm definately not prepared for this weather, but we have had fun playing in it!
