Happy Halloween!

We carved our pumpkins tonight!

Me working away

Trick or Treat!

Jory messed his up, but it still turned out really good!

Happy Halloween!
A few days ago Jory and I went to Flagstaff to do some shopping and get our cars fixed. We went to this gigantic health food store. They had tons of things there, but I thought this was the most ridiculous. It was raw milk for $10.99. So I had to take a picture of it. People probably thought I was crazy. I think I would just buy a cow. It might be cheaper in the long run.

One thing we did buy that I love is this mouthwash. My little sister Rocki introduced me to it and I just had to have some for myself. It tints all the germs that were in your mouth, so you actually can see you have a cleaner mouth. For some reason I really like that. It's probably weird, but I like seeing things go from really dirty to clean. That why I actually don't mind cleaning the house. I recommend this mouthwash to everyone. It's pretty fun!

Me and Jory are carving pumpkins tonight so I'll post pictures later! I'm pretty excited!

Happy Birthday Jory!

Today is Jory's REAL birthday. We went to the temple again today. The day started out really good besides the fact we were running a little late because Jory had to have breakfast in bed. On the way there we got into a fight about the stupidest thing in the world. I knew Satan had something to do with this. He doesn't want people to be doing good things. We debated not going to the temple, which was stupid because we were almost there. But we got over that, luckily. When we got to town we went to Subway to eat lunch. We tried paying with our debit card, but for some reason their credit card machine wasn't working. We stood there for a while and waited. I knew this had to be Satan trying to make us late. These days we never carry cash so we didn't really have many options. But I decided to check how much money I had in my wallet. The total was $10.99. I had 9 dollars and I was hoping I had enough change. I ended up having $1.99 in change. I had the exact amount for our meal. I was amazed. That doesn't happen very often. So we made it to the temple on time and we were the witness couple again. There wasn't a lot of people there today, so I'm glad we went.

In honor of Jory's birthday I'll post some pictures of him. These were all before we were married. It's amazing I even married him....He is funny though.

I love you Jory!

Sunday Fun/Jory's Early Birthday

Well for some reason these pictures didn't come out in the right order. Oh well!

On Sunday night we carved pumpkins. Jory's the offical pumpkin carver in my family now. I didn't get a picture of the finished product though. Whoops!

All the girls in my family

Sisters (try not to stare at my pale face)

My mom came out wearing the same shirt I had on. People at church called us twins (my mom liked that)

We celebrated Jory's birthday 6 days early. I got him a radar detector. I've known what I was going to get him for months. He would always talk about it, but he never did guess what I was going to get him. My siblings got him a Chili's and Outback gift card. Yum! And we had an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I love birthdays!

Fun times!

Saturday morning, before we left Virden Jory and some of the kids wanted to play basketball, so they had to move the bus first.

All the kids hanging out of the bus

Jory and Daya

After a while I decided to play basketball with them. I was on Case and his friends team. I could tell they didn't want me on their team. I made a basket right away and they were impressed. I ended up making 4 out of 5 baskets. I guess the boys didn't mind me being on their team after that.

We hurried to Thatcher to watch my little brother Chad's football game. He's the quarterback. Their team won, like usual.

Isn't he cute?

That night we went to Molli Larson and Tyler Norton's wedding reception. We decided to take some pictures before we left.

Me and Jory

Later that night we all played SingStar. It was a lot of fun!

I love SingStar, okay?

We decided to go to Wal-Mart with Dani and her new boyfriend Bryce. We ended up in the Halloween costume section.

Jory the Woopie Cushin (he ended up buying this one).

Adam and Eve. You would have to be very brave to wear this!

Jory was really funny all night. I'm glad I married a funny person. Even though sometimes it could be really embarrassing. He wore the woopie cushion costume the rest of the night and got a lot of laughs from everyone.

We had a really fun night. I'm glad I got to hang out with my sister for awhile. She's always so busy doing a ton of other things when we come to visit. So it was good to do things with her. Who knows, there may be a wedding in the future.

One Long Day

This weekend we came to Thatcher/Virden for Delanie's baptism. We decided to go to Mesa Thursday night and pick up our washer and dryer (another long story) and the next day go to the temple (we're still doing good on our goal of going to the temple once a week). We met my parents there and stayed at my grandma's house. On Friday morning we went to the temple (of course an hour later then we wanted too...thanks to my dad). Well the session took forever because there were so many people there. Well, we finally left Mesa at around 3:00 because we had to be in Duncan before 7:00 for the baptism. I had to say the opening prayer, so we it wouldn't have been okay to be even just a little late. Me and Jory were driving 2 cars because my dad bought a car at the auction and was driving that to my brother's football game. Well anyway, we are almost to Superior and all of the traffic was completely stopped for miles. That lasted for almost an hour. So now we were really short on time. Well by the time we got to Thatcher it was 6:45. And it takes about 45 minutes to get there. By the time we got to Duncan it was 7:23. We missed the actual baptism. We felt really bad. I swear, I always have bad luck. Other than that it was a pretty good day, just very long and tiring!

Birthday!

Well guys, as you know, it's Jory's birthday next Saturday. I'm getting really excited for it. He has no clue what I'm getting him, which is the best part. He asks me everyday, but I don't give in. What fun would that be? Now I just have to figure out what we're going to do. Any ideas?

Heater Time!

Well, we actually had to turn the heater on for the first time. I really didn't want too, but since it was 56 degrees inside and it wasn't getting any warmer I decided it was a good idea. It was 38 degress when I left for church at 9:00, so I'm glad I turned it on. The warmest it got today was 55 degrees. So I made the right decision! I hope it doesn't stay this cold because I'm not sure I can live here during winter time. I'll freeze to death. I'm use to warm winters. I wish we had a fireplace....

A GREAT DAY

Today Jory and I went to the Monticello temple. We've decided to go to the temple once a week. I'm so glad we went today. It was such a great experience. I had never been to any other temple, but Mesa so it was a new experience for me. It was so small! But that's okay. Me and Jory were the witness couple for our first time ever, so I was a little nervous because I really still don't know what I'm doing. But it was all ok. We were the only young couple there today, so I guess they had no other choice! I had a little old lady sit by me. I would help her all the time, so we became friends. I really like the temple, everyone's so friendly. Jory and I both felt like Madison and McKenzie were there with us. I even felt like they were there on the way to the temple. I kept looking in the backseat to look, but I didn't see anybody. It's so good to know that we were doing the right thing. It was like they were there to tell us "good job." I'm so glad that I know that we are an eternal family and we'll get to see them again. I feel like they are our little angels protecting us. I love going to the temple. It puts me in a good, happy mood. I can't wait to go next week.

Then, we stopped in Mounument Valley at the little jewelry shops they have there. We ended up talking to this guy about the church because he asked why we were all dressed up. So that was exciting. I like talking to people about what I know! I invited him to church even. He won't come, but at least I tried. I wanted to get this twisted bracelet thing with an opal stone on it, but of course they didn't have what I wanted. I've been looking for it for years. Then I was going to get opal earrings, but the guy only excepted cash and I didn't have any. So I didn't get what I wanted, but I did come away with a mouth full of sand. That's always fun.

When we got back to Kayenta we stopped by the pizza store. It was so full of people even before dinner time! So that's always good!

Anyway, I just had a great day today, so I thought I'd share! Hope you did too!

Pictures

My mom found these pictures on one of her cameras. I don't remember taking these, but it had to be before me and Jory were dating because I wouldn't let him have a hairy face like that!

Bashas and freaky guys

I really hate going to Bashas here. I feel like I'm in the dirtiest part of Mexico, the foods really expensive and is usually really close to expiring. Well today I went and I was actually enjoying myself. Until at very end of my little trip this guy comes up to me. I kind of recognized him. I think he's come into Pizza Edge before. He asks me where I was from. I said here. He said aren't you from Blanding or someting. I say no, me and my HUSBAND just moved here. ( He didn't get the hint). I told him I use to live in Thatcher though. Then he starts talking about how windy it is here and what I thought about it. I told him I have lived here before, so I was use to it. Then he starts saying other things about him moving away for a while....by this point I wasn't really listening, just nodding my head. I started looking at things in the aisle (he still wasn't getting the hint) then I finally started backing up a little bit and he finally left. I hate freaky guys that try to talk to me. I thought that once I was married I wouldn't have to worry about this anymore. Nope, I still do. Marriage means nothing to them. When we first moved here I was working and this guy came to the window and ordered some food. The guy in the passenger seat started talking to me (i think he was drunk) and asking me if I wanted to go on a date with him (first of all- gross! He was over half my age). I told him I was married. He said oh it's ok we can just meet up sometime. Gross! I told him no I don't do that and I especially wouldn't with him! When they came back I was going to have Jory help them and chew that guy out. But just the guy driving came back, not the drunk one, luckily! I'm really sick of creepy guys.

Chad

Chad (my little brother) is so funny. Me and Jory were talking to him today and he told us he had just killed 15 birds and yesterday he killed 11. He's crazy! He does this all in my parents backyard. And my parents live in a neighborhood with tons of houses around, but he still shoots them. I guess he's just a really good hunter. He's good at everything he does. Any sport he plays he's the star of. I can't wait to see what he's going to be like when he gets older. He turns 12 in December, which is crazy. I remember when he was just a little baby. I was pretty much his mom, while my mom was pregnant with Rocki because she was having so many problems. I was only his age at the time. I love Chad and I'm so glad we have such a close relationship. He calls me his second mom. Of course Rocki does too because she does anything Chad does. He's such a good big brother to Rocki. Here are a few pictures of him:

This is on his birthday. I think that was a posed suprised face

He reminds me of one of the Rugrats in this picture.

Chad in Mexico after he caught a huge fish. I told you he was good at everything he does! I couldn't catch a single fish that trip.

Pizza Edge

Today was a crazy day at Pizza Edge. This guys came in and ordered pizza. He asked me if I went to school here in 3rd grade. I said yes I did. Then he asked me my name and then said he thinks I was in his class. So I asked him his name (of course I couldn't remember a Sheldon Yazzie from 3rd grade), then I asked him who his teacher was. He said Mrs. Douthit. It just so happens that that was my 3rd grade teacher! I was suprised he remembered me all the way from 3rd grade. But I guess it's kind of hard to forget the only white girl in your class that always brings pizza. Then I was filling cups of crushed red pepper. I decided to sit down because my feet really hurt. I'm not use to standing for so long. Well the table is really high so I was eye level with the red pepper. I started filling the cups and after a while my face and nose started to burn bad! I had to put ice all over my face. I thought I might actually die. So I learned my lesson. Don't ever sit eye level with crushed red pepper! Anyway, I'm glad I'm home and sad I missed Conference, but we recorded, so we'll watch it later!
